1. Interaction

Field Experience

Were you in the field this season? No

Continued Collaboration with Reasearch Team Members

Type of Interaction / Outcomes / Dates / Locations / Parcticipants:

  • Walter B. (Terry) Tucker and Devinder Sodhi briefed me on their analysis of the data they collected during the USCGC Healy?s Sea Ice Trials 2000.
  • Terry Tucker facilitated my work at CRREL by scheduling interview sessions with CRREL scientists for the profiling of their projects and educational outreach activities on my TEA website.
  • Presented an ?Invest in People Presentation? for CRREL scientists and staff. In this session, I overviewed the TEA Program and my parcticipation and responsibilities within it. I also discussed mentoring and educational outreach activities for scientists.
  • Consulted with individuals on ways they can incorporate education outreach activities into their research projects.
  • Tourned the CRREL facilities.
  • Twelve journal entries with photos are posted on my TEA web pages at ../../tea_kolbfrontpage.html. Ten of these entries profile CRREL scientists and CRREL research projects. The other two entries are the introduction and conclusion explanations to my work at CRREL. The CRREL profiles provide information and resources to teachers and students.
  • CRREL has linked their website to my TEA web page. It is hoped that this will increase exposure and use of the TEA website.

    June 5, 2001
