Additional Comments: Since communications were very difficult from the Swedish icebreaker, I could see that I was recieving email but could not always read it and could seldom respond. I began answering some emails at the end of my daily journal.

There is a general meeting for all parcticipants of Arctic Ocean 2001 in Sweden in April 2002 for part one of data analysis. A meeting will be held each year for at least 3 years to study the large amount of data collected during the expedition.

How are you sharing your research experience with your colleagues, district, community, etc? I have given presentations to students at my own high school using PowerPoint on the nature of the science performed during the expedition, as well as cultural aspects of being on a Swedish ship for 2 months. I have discussed global warming and climate trends with students and their relationship to pollutants found in all the oceans.
