TEA News
Hello from the Cold Regions Research and Engineering Lab (CCREL) in
Hanover, New Hampshire. The morning started off with discussions of
plans for mentoring other teachers after we return from the Arctic.
Next, Martin Jeffries, Principal Investigator, from the University of
Alaska Fairbanks and Marge Porter, former TEA, presented their data from
both the Arctic and the Antarctic regarding heat flux through and around
snow and ice.
After lunch, we watched a video about Alaskan culture then toured the
library here at CCREL. The late afternoon was spent visiting the
Hanover bookstore in town, with many purchases of books about the
regions where we will be working.
Cheers to all,
Dena
