Sunday has come and the storm continues. I could have given you the
latitude and longitude the last two days but it would have been the same.
We came to this new site with great expectations, but a storm has been
sitting over our heads. We are waiting it out as this site is excellent but
we need better weather before we start coring. We have been going around
the site mapping the ocean floor with the bathy 2000. It will be a great
site, if only those waves would go away. I took a series of pictures
showing you waves breaking at the bow of the ship and several seconds later
hitting the bridge 60 feet above the water line. There isn't much to do in
waves like this, but we do get to do lots of ping editing (tomorrow's
entry).
