I am in Hanover, New Hampshire attending a week long orientation
workshop. I am having the opportunity to meet new and previous TEA
parcticipants and researchers. Former TEA teachers are discussing their
experiences.
Today we have had an opportunity to learn about our responsibilities to
the TEA program. We heard an interesting presentation from Jill Ferris,
the VECO representative regarding clothing and equipment for use in the
Arctic. This afternoon we had the chance to see the clothing that we
will wear on the trip. This was awesome! John Wrenn, an Antarctic
researcher shared his project in the field. We had several panel
discussions about expectations and culture. All of the presentations
have been so informative. It has been interesting to hear so about so
many people's experiences.
