Happy Camper School- Day 2
After a restful night sleep, we heated water for breakfast and began
breaking down camp. Day two of happy camper school involved a debriefing
of the previous night's events (what worked, what didn't), learning how to
assess potential risks, using the radios, helicopter safety, and final
exams. The final exam consisted of several emergency scenarios that
required us to use our newly gained knowledge. Although we returned to
McMurdo sun burned, wind burned and exhausted, we are all a little smarter
and are happy for having had this amazing experience.
