As was the assignment yesterday, we are obliged to simply be in this place, because our work will be at even higher elevation. You have to get used to it. If we were climbing the mountain, we would proceed slowly and get used to it gradually. Helicopters are just a little quicker. We all felt a slight light-headedness, but two of our party actually got sick last night. They're fine now.

What a great day. The recommendation is to simply rest in your tent, or outside if the weather permits. The weather has been permitting! It is deceptively cold, because the sun is so intense. The clue is the squeaky snow. I hiked again today, because I'm feeling fine. It's different, however. My routine is 100 steps, rest. 100 steps, rest.

So that's what I did today. I was.

My last hike at Fang brought me within sight of the summit. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp
