Today started our just like the first day. We reported to the CDC and were told the flight was delayed again. About 11 am we finally loaded up and headed for Antarctica, however, today was not to be the day I finally put my feet on Antarctica soil (snow/ice?). We flew to within an hour of McMurdo and had to turn back because of the weather. I am beginning to wonder if I will ever get there. I did get to see the continent again from the window of the plane. It was mesmerizing. All you could see was ice and snow. Even from 32,000 feet it looked awesome. I really cannot wait to set my feet down on that continent. By the time we got back here to Christchurch it was too late to do anything other than write in my journal so here I am. Hopefully tomorrow will be the day. My anticipation is growing by leaps and bounds.
