Hook
Students seem to enjoy creating their own procedure, with hints of course. They also get to work with colored water and mixing, which is always fun. Hopefully, they will gain a better understanding of how density and temperature affect current movement.

Materials
WaterLab.doc is the student handout which goes along with the PowerPoint explanation WaterLayer_Lab.ppt presented by the teacher.
