I started another study today, and was very busy bleeding and injecting fish every three hours. I also needed to write out my procedures so that when I leave tomorrow (maybe...hopefully) the rest of my research group can complete the studies I started. I hadn't heard anything all day about "bag drag"- where you carry your bags to be checked in the night before or early the morning of your scheduled flight, so I just kept working. At 1:00 am my roommate suggested I check the TV for announcements and sure enough I was scheduled to bag drag at 8:00 am, which made for a short night. So I quickly packed and tried to get organized, I planned to get up early to finish packing all my cold weather gear which we stored at the lab in the morning.
