On My Way

The flight to New Zealand was pretty uneventful if you don't count the cancelled flight and lost suitcase. I'm a little worried about the suitcase, though, because it has a lot of things that I will need in Antarctica. Stay tuned for the continuing saga of....The Secret of the Lost Suitcase. It was easier to adjust to the time difference between Cinncinati and Christchurch than I thought. I was able to stay awake until 2 AM Cincinnati time and when I woke up, it was 5 Am New Zealand time. I hope it goes that easy on the return--keep your fingers crossed.

After landing in Christchurch (kids: can you find that on a map?), I went to the Windsor Bed and Breakfast, where I'll be spending two nights. It's rather quaint, don't you think? A short walk around town was enough to let me know that I was extremely tired from the trip and had better go to bed! Tomorrow I will go to the clothing distribution center to get all my cold weather gear. I will have to try on everything to make sure it fits properly. Once you leave, there are no returns.
