Second day out...seas are a bit more rough. I woke feeling queasy, but
managed to eat breakfast and work out in the gym. It's slow around here due
to the fact that we are only in transit to the ice. I'm sure that I will be
dying for some free time in a couple of weeks, so I should take advantage
now.
I borrowed Jane's book containing NSF News clips, and looked for arcticles
of interest. Shawn (NSF Student awardee), Stephanie (Martin's assistant),
and Dave were watching a movie, so I had some company. I am progressing
rather slowly through the historical "The Last Place On Earth", describing
Scott and Amundsen's competition to reach the pole.
