Trip to Palmer.........
Today, I rode in to Palmer with Staci Ensminger. Staci is the Principle
investigator associated with this REU program. She directs and coordinates
the functioning of this camp. While not here at the camp, she is a
professor at Northwest Missouri State University. Staci needed to purchase
food, and I tagged along to do my laundry and take a shower. Palmer is
about an hours drive to the east of camp. I canąt remember the last time a
shower felt so good, and it will be very nice to put clean clothes on in the
morning.
Back at camp, I volunteered to make dinner for everyone. The menu included
chicken caesar wraps with curried black beans and rice. Howąs that for camp
food?
More GPR data to collect tomorrow........
Life Is Good,
DT
This is camp. The tent to the left is used by researchers from the Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL). The center tent is a computer tent, and the tent on the left is food and equipment storage for the REU program.
