Extremes.........
This morning when I rolled out of my tent, I was greeted by clear skies and
a very light glimmer of frost. This was the first morning that the
temperatures have dipped below freezing since arriving.
I collected more GPR data on the the two holes that I have been working
with. What a glorious day to be working in the field. There wasnıt a cloud
in the the sky, and a nice breeze blowing across the glacier. The breeze
would alternate between crisp, when it blew from up valley and across the
ice to quite warm when it blew in from a slightly different angle.
Back in camp, the temperature climbed up to near 80o by the afternoon.
Thatıs nearly a 50o temperature swing in just a few hours...........
amazing!
Iım writing this entry early today as I plan to hike a considerable distance
up the glacier this evening. The lower level of the sun should give some
spectacular lighting for picture taking.

This is a view to the south of camp. The snow covered Mount Sergeant Robinson is framed by the green of lower peaks in the forground.
