From up in the cirque!!

Today I went up valley with Drew. It takes us about one and a half hours to get up.

The difference in elevation from camp and the head of the valley is about 700 feet.

Drew is thoughtful and quiet today.

He hopes that he got some datable ash at one pit. I think that the sample is too small.

While Drew digs new pits, I filled the old ones back in. This is good, because I can keep warm if I get to work.

We come back to camp around 7 pm and eat a fabulous dinner of spags and rags.

(Spaghetti and Ragu)

Remember the power of quick wit and jivey talk - it will get you far in these circumstances.

Good night from Beacon!
