July 24, 2005 Today started with a delay in operations. The FISH, dubbed "Goldmember" was knocked over on the deck and one of the fins detached. Eric, Ben and I changed out the FISH with its unnamed replacement. After the switch, we began our last day of trace metal sampling.
We spent the day conducting a full profile of the Strait of Juan de Fuca. I sampled water from the CTD at depths of 0, 5, 10, 15, 20 and 30 meters. In addition I collected nutrients at each depth and water for other groups as well. Brady, Mike and Stacey continued to sample for Pseudo-nitzschia. The samples revealed the presence of PN, though in small numbers.
