Journals 2007/2008Louise McMinn
July 18, 2007 Today was a stay in camp day, the morning was rainy and we had used a lot of flight time. Two new members joined our camp, Martin and Ugo. They were graduate students who had been doing research at a camp further in the interior. The camp had to be packed for the move to Yakataga tomorrow. A food inventory was taken, and all the equipment was bundled. At night we had a presentation of the 1964 Alaskan earthquake. George reviewed the changes that occurred after the earthquake. It really helped me to understand why this research was being done, and how geological research in one area of the world relates to other locations. |
