Journals 2004/2005Laurelynn Brooks
July 23, 2004 Luckily we beat the Ronald Reagan into the harbor. We see people and flags lining the harbor as if they are welcoming us home. The New Horizon is even on television as we cruise into port. After she is tied up to the dock, we begin the tedious task of unloading all the scientific gear, but we take time out to watch the ceremonious entrance of the Ronald Reagan. The science team and crew are united as we respectfully honor the hundreds of sailors standing at attention lining the lifelines. It's good to be home and we're sure they are feeling the same way.
