Steaming

We had 2 stations on watch this morning- a regular bongo tow and a bongo/grab combo. For the regular bongo I manned the computer and "controlled" the CTD. I'm still a little intimidated by the idea that I'm in control of the equipment. For the 2nd station I helped Nora and ended up sieving the sample and filtering water. The rest of our cruise has been plotted on the computer. We have a lot of steaming ahead. This afternoon we only had one station. Much of our downtime is being spent talking about school, research, how we got where we are, etc. It's really interesting to me to learn about the lives of other people.
