Beautiful sunset

Today started as a normal Healy day. Pat and I ran a thorium test, which takes about five hours. He and I then took a nap and then had dinner and mid rats. Pat went to sleep and I looked outside to see the most unusual colors in the sky.

There were few clouds in the sky but those few were at the horizon of the sunset. I grabbed my camera and went to the port side of the Healy. In the next half hour, whoever was awake, was out there taking pictures and video of the beautiful, almost unnatural sky.

This morning I read Roy Arezzo's journal (ARMADA teacher, 2008-2009) and he mentioned the sky in the Antarctic and how it was inexplicable. I can only imagine how beautiful his sunrises and sunsets are with the ice as his horizon. I saw his pictures and they are perfect. Here are mine.
