II. DAY FOUR: Saturday, July 10, 2004

I continued to work on the video transect in the morning. I had ordered a bag lunch from the cafeteria this morning so that I can tour the campus at lunch. I hiked to a place called Troll Beach, I beach combed and enjoyed my lunch sitting on a large boulder on water's edge. In the afternoon Betsy had some research to work on so I returned to the library. I worked on several science inquiry lessons that I found on line. That evening I walked to a small cemetery on campus. The tombstones dated back to the 1800's. The tombstones were intricately craved with names, dates and cause of death. Looking at what once had been is a sad but a moving experience, solemn yet stirring. It was a good place for reflections.
