July 20, 2005 When I got back on duty the crew was in the middle of collecting 10L samples of water at depths of 15m, 25m, 35m, 45m using the CTD roundelette. Then they will precipitate out Fe(OH)3 which will pull out Be-7 at the same time. Using the concentrations of Be-7 they will be able to determine the vertical mixing in the eddy. This took place from 02:00 until 16:10. 16:10 we are steaming to the location in the eddy where we will begin the streak of SF6. |
