July 23, 2005 The sled was removed from the water at 08:00. The stuck orifices were cleaned and then we launched another EM-APEX around 12:00. Then around 12:20 we launched the sled again to make another streak of tracer. The sled worked fine and was removed from the water at 16:30. The tracer sled had to be removed due to the fact tropical storm Franklin was heading in our direction and the captain wanted to get us out of its path. As soon as it was on board we set sail for a position 175 miles south of where the eddy was located. |
