Arriving in Quebec

Arrived today, and after spending 1 hour in customs (30 min. waiting to be interviewed, 30 min being interviewed-it seems that what I'm doing is unusual, the customs officer typed a paper to "track" me and make sure I leave Canada on the 21st of August, and an official tracking paper is now affixed to my passport.) I took a cab to the pier- the Amundsen is a lovely ship! After signing aboard with the logistics officer, I helped with unloading pallets and storing boxes in the bow thruster. The amount of activity on the ship and pier is incredible! There are so many people working, loading cargo, cranes operating, scientists tracking down boxes setting up equipment, this is a busy ship!
