San Francisco Arrival

My day started early with a 6:30 a.m. flight. I arrived into the San Francisco airport filled with excitement about the research project. I could not wait to get started! My fellow ARMADA Master Teacher, Maria Gomez, flew in a couple of hours after me. We had an informal telephone meeting several days before so I was looking forward to finally meeting her.

Everything went like clock work. After Maria and I caught up with each other in the airport, we set off to find the Research Scientist, Joe, and his assistant, Andrew. I was exhausted from the early morning plane ride. Once we met up with Joe and Andrew, we decided to spend the day in San Francisco. We had lunch at San Francisco's famous R&G Lounge. We spent the day walking all over San Francisco. We visited some famous San Francisco sites like Ghirardelli Square, Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39.

On our way out of San Francisco, we stopped at North Vista Point. We saw one of the most impressive displays of fog. The fog was rolling into the bay over the hills. A Hollywood special effects team could not have made it look anymore eerie.
