The Birds ... An American Classic

A group of us took a trip to Bodega to visit some historical sites. Alfred Hitchcock filmed the American classic The Birds in 1963 in the heart of Bodega. The church and the school house featured in the film still draw many tourists each year.

St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church is an old Catholic Church built in 1861. Weekly masses are still held for the locals. It is believed to be one of the oldest Catholic churches in Northern California.

On our way back, we stopped by the Tides. It is a nice size market with retail shopping. Tomorrow will be our first day collecting Midshipmen fish. Maria and I are ready and excited!
