August 7, 2006 Lat: 10° 42.0' N A pretty good day for dolphins, sighting schools of eastern spinners, offshore spotters, Pacific bottlenose, as well as sei whales. They continue to be evasive, however, so most sightings are somewhat in the distance. Also starting to see more birds. Had some very delicious squid ceviche that Art made from squid (genus Docidicus) we jigged for a few nights ago. Made me feel a whole lot better about those poor critters thrashing on the deck, gasping for their last breath. After all, they have those large brains! |
