Journals 2007/2008Mark Harris
May 20, 2007 I spent the day relaxing and recovering from a great fishing trip. The fishing was not so great for the ice fish scientists, but I had a great time. I love working hard and doing things I have never done before. This will be something that I know, in my lifetime, I will probably never get to do again, and I am OK with that (a little smile). Just resting today and thinking of home. I am missing the sunshine. It just seems to snow a lot down here. The snow isn't hard, just always a light snow and fairly cold, probably around 20 degrees Fahrenheit. Hunting for Crab Eater Seals will be the agenda for tomorrow. Another first time adventure for me, getting on an ice flow and capturing a 500 pound seal. I have no idea how this is going to play out, but I will keep you informed.
