Checking out Samoa

Still awaiting ship in Apia. Dr. D'Hondt has advised that the ship should arrive at approximately 0700hrs in Apia. All are preparing to board as soon as possible. The weather in Apia continues to be fantastic. Mid 80's with rain every few hours. Today most plan on just doing some last minute shopping for supplies. Mops, buckets and such seem to be priority at this time. We took another walk this time down to the old "traditional" market deeper in the town. This market was different from the first I toured. This market was primarily a food market with many people selling and buying native fruits and vegetables. As we walked the market we could not avoid buying a fresh coconut tapped right there for a drink of coconut milk. It was hot and there was really nothing else to drink at the time. The coconut milk was cool and being fresh, very good. I also had to purchase a few items for remembering my trip. Native sandals and a paper painting were purchased.
